Confidentiality
Information disclosed within the therapy session is confidential, and may not be revealed to anyone without the client's written permission. The exception is when disclosure is required by law.
When disclosure is required
Disclosure is required by law when there is a reasonable suspicion of child, dependent or elder abuse, or when a client presents a danger to others.
Disclosure may be required if a client presents as a danger to him/herself.
