ADHD?
Do you think you have ADHD?.... you might.
An ADHD diagnosis
Whether you got your diagnosis as a kid or very recently, there can be a lot of complicated feelings around this diagnosis. For some, it is a relief as it answers a lot of questions. For others, it feels as though there is a feeling of broken-ness and you worry there may be judgement from others.
Whether you're on medication or not, it is important to get to know yourself within the context of
your ADHD.
Everyone is different,
which means that this diagnosis shows up differently for each individual person.
If you haven't been diagnosed, but feel that you may have ADHD, not a problem. We'll talk it through together and figure out what you'd like to do next. Maybe you'd like to get tested and maybe you don't think it's necessary. It's up to you.
- Do you find it hard to concentrate?
- Do you find yourself hyper focusing on things that you love to do and losing all track of time?
- Is it hard to multitask? Meaning that when you are interrupted it is hard to find your way back to what you were doing, or perhaps forget about it altogether?
- Do you lose things?
- Do you get bored?
- Do you find that you go down the rabbit hole of looking at you smart devices too long and then feel horrible that you've gotten nothing done?
- Do you find that it is hard to track time, where you find yourself late more than you'd like to be?
- Do you like to go on adventures, travel, or try new things?
- Is it easier on you when you have a schedule?
- Is it hard to find the words when in conflict with a loved one, and instead get really upset and perhaps yell or storm out of the room?

ADHD and Positive Changes
As a person who has ADHD and is certified in working with ADHD, my aim is to help you work through your challenges and find solutions that work for you.
As we work together it will be part psychotherapy and part coaching.
The reason I say this is that most everyone I have met with ADHD comes with either low self worth, depression or anxiety. We will work with the feelings that come with this diagnosis, while coming up with a plan of action to help you manage better in the world.
ADHD is more than a problem with focusing, it affects many areas of your life, whether it is work, home, relationships, confidence, and just feeling okay in your own skin.
If you already are working with a therapist and would like to work on some of your ADHD behaviors in a coaching format, I am happy to help.
What we will do is stick to the the issues that are in your way as far as your diagnosis is concerned.
ADHD can be a superpower if you just give it a chance.
